Gorgeous, glowing blue opalized petrified wood (but in green!) rests between two hand-fabricated acanthus leaves. Attached to an incredible Ethiopian opal, this two-pendant design harkens to both the Victorian and Art Nouveau eras, but with a unique take. Sunlight makes the opal really flashy, as you can see in the images of the necklace on the bust.
This necklace is all sterling silver, including chain and beads. Climbing up the chain from the opal are a series of sterling beads, which alternate with chain. 27.2" is the full length of the necklace chain with the pendants. There is additional extension chain, which measures approximately 3.25" in length, meaning the necklace can rest at around 30.45" (longest fall). You can see the shortest and longest fall lengths in the images on the bust.
Alterations are possible after purchase. This necklace can be reduced in length, but not made longer than its total length now. If you wish the necklace length reduced, please email me as soon as you have purchased the piece with the exact length you wish the necklace fall to terminate (do not include the length of the extension chain, please). I will reattach the extension chain to the necklace once the reduction has been made (or you're welcome to request a shorter extension chain or no extension chain, if you prefer). Please do not purchase if you wish the necklace to be made longer, as I cannot accommodate that request without redoing much of the necklace (too time-consuming and costly).
Note: If you are rough on your jewelry, you will want to treat this with gentle care. While sturdy, elements should never been twisted, torqued, bent, or pulled/yanked.
All of my work, unless copper or brass (you'd see the difference), is 0.925 sterling silver.
Please review shipping and return policies prior to purchase (see link at the top of the page).
US Domestic shipping prices on purchases over $100 include USPS shipping and insurance. International buyers who wish for insured postage are welcome to ask and I can obtain pricing through UPS; you would pay the additional charges. UPS across waters (i.e. not in Canada) are quite high with insurance, but I understand shipping during covid has made many of us nervous.
