One of the most beautifully dramatic necklaces that I have made to-date, this hand-fabricated acanthus leaf took around a day to saw, vein, texture and clean! She's a beautiful leaf and adorned with, appropriately, green stones. The necklace has a sturdy rolo chain, which drapes below the leaf, then between matching stones up to the top, where the side chains finally connect at the clasp in the back.
Stones from bottom to top: Serpentine, high grade chrome tourmaline, peridot.
Worth every moment it took to complete her, she is even more stunning than I imagined her to be! Both elegant and striking, she'll take the breath away from anyone who sees her.
The necklace's "fall" length is approximately 22". I, personally, like it a bit shorter, but I wanted some room for flexibility. The farther it gets from the neck, the more narrow it falls, bringing the stones closer together and making the connecting chains between the stones less taut.
Without being overly heavy, the rolo chain gives everything a beautiful weight to it, so it hangs well.
If you are rough on your jewelry, you will want to treat this with gentle care. While sturdy, elements should never been twisted, torqued, bent, or pulled/yanked.
All of my work, unless copper or brass (you'd see the difference), is 0.925 sterling silver.
