Sage Blossom Serpentine Long Dangle Earrings

The most labor-intensive botanical that I make, sage blossoms have been a signature botanical since the first year that I held a torch. each blossom is sawn from the real botanical, meaning each and every one is a unique shape. Then, to create the skeleton-shape, they are veined with sterling silver wire. Each two-flower pair of earrings requiring feet of sterling wire to complete. The flowers are then sanded, cleaned, and shaped into partial domes. Links are made and attached and then soldered to the inside and outside so they can attach from one to the next. Sterling chain connects elements together and, at the bottom, is followed by sterling beads (representing the sage flower seeds that they normally hold). In all, each two-flower pair takes about a day to make. As it isn't feasible to sell them at the full cost of my labor, know that I rarely make these and only do so every 2-3 years.

This pair of sage blossoms has kite-shaped serpentine and is the only pair that is extra long, including long stones, three flowers per earring, and three chains of dangling beads at the bottom.

Each earring weights 4.5 grams and is approximately 3.6" in height.

If you are rough on your jewelry, you will want to treat this with gentle care. While sturdy, elements should never been twisted, torqued, bent, or pulled/yanked.

All of my work, unless copper or brass (you'd see the difference), is 0.925 sterling silver.
