Hydrangea Flower Ethiopian Opal "Resist" Hoop Earrings

We are an incredible species, capable of such deep empathy and kindness. It is that which will help us overcome, not singularly, but together. We must RESIST for ALL!

After my first pair, it was clear making more was top priority. Each letter was hand-sawn from sheet sterling. Truly was a struggle to get the letters affixed in this location, since they wanted to move constantly, but I managed to get them into place and they're very sweet. They're heirloom, timeless, and I know you will feel the love put into them when you wear them. What better way to resist than wearing one-of-a-kind works of art, made by hand, not in a factory?

These hoops were an impulse to make- I knew I wanted flowers but couldn't decide how to do flowers with letters in a way that felt true to my design style. This was exactly what I had hoped they would be. Though I considered a dangling stone, placing the opal in the middle of the central hydrangea flower really draws the eye to the hoop itself, where resting above there's a reminder to "resist". The opals are utterly gorgeous and flashy in greens, pinks, and blues.

These earrings weigh 4 grams each and measure 2.55" from the top of the ear wire. Note measurements are approximations.

If you are rough on your jewelry, you will want to treat this with gentle care. While sturdy, elements should never been twisted, torqued, bent, or pulled/yanked.

All of my work, unless copper or brass (you'd see the difference), is 0.925 sterling silver.
